Wether you have a multi story industrial complex or a small residential unit JBW Technologies can tailor a central vacuum cleaning system to suit you.
Our industrial style central vacuum systems can cater for up to 15 users at one time! Here are some of our previous jobs...
Bendigo Bank Bendigo Victoria
The Brief At conceptual stage of this very important modern bank headquarters for the Bendigo Bank in Bendigo Victoria,a special group of "Green" designers were assembled, to incorporate the very latest in energy savings and environmental features into the structure. An inbuilt Central Vacuuming System was considered an absolute necessity with it's positive effects on the building, and most of all on the building occupants and users.
The InstallationThe Central Vacuum Cleaning System in this building was built and installed by JBW Technologies Australia, and comprises of a fully automatic central plant located in the Basement Car Park and a common rising main with branches at each floor, leading to smaller pipework installed throughout beneath the raised computer flooring.Metal flush mounted floor inlets in the floor tiles complete the installation. A constant pressure/constant volume bleed valve automatically adjusts via a sensor to maintain system performance once a "set point" is entered. A switchboard of JBW Technologies Australia manufacture features all control functions.
Equipment Selected The system is a "wet disposal" type in which all vacuumed material is mixed with clean fresh water before automatically "dumping" to sewer via a strainer basket, when the plant shuts down. The system also has the ability to vacuum water in emergencies, such as when a sprinkler activates or basins overflow. There is no handling of dry dusty waste by building operators, all that remains is a very small amount of damp residual material, thus any OH&S issues are greatly reduced. Dual side channel vacuum blowers of the gas ring type mounted in parallel in the plantroom provide vacuum. The system is started automatically via DDC. The system is designed for simultaneous usage by 7 to 8 operators.Good commercial quality lightweight flexible hoses and floor tools are provided.
The Brief Patties Foods in Bairnsdale,Victoria have a very large establishment engaged in the production of meat pies, fruit pies, sausage rolls, and other foodstuffs on a large scale. Patties found that after some time, waste from preparation and manufacture was causing some concern in the factory and a Central Vacuum System was installed to deal with it. JBW Technologies Australia have been involved with Patties Foods over a long period with the maintenance of the system and it's components as well as significant extensions to it as additions to the facility have progressed.
The InstallationUp to 60kg of waste product is picked up daily by the Central Vacuum System, and conveyed via stainless steel and metal tubing, to an external cyclone outside the building.Pipe droppers in the factory terminate with robust industrial "flap" type inlet valves, and good quality floor cleaning tools with anti-static flexible hoses complete the installation. The system is started via a remote push button station in the manufacturing area. The cyclone waste is emptied simply by opening a manual butterfly valve above a "wheelie" type plastic bin for later disposal.
Equipment selected The cyclone is a "dry" type with inbuilt filter "socks", and fabricated from heavy rolled mild steel. A vacuum blower of the two stage, gas ring type, provides enough capacity for 5 to 6 simultaneous operators. The electrical switchboard of JBW Technologies Australia manufacture features all control and drive equipment.
The Brief The Defence Department brief was to provide an inbuilt Central Vacuum Cleaning System to a new laboratory and research building, with vacuum pick up points mounted around the perimeter walls and in bench tops. Waste material was to be conveyed via vacuum to an external cyclone. JBW Technologies Australia successfully won this tender.
The InstallationThe installation consists of a heavy duty rolled mild steel cyclone, all PVC pipework and fittings throughout the building, spring loaded "flap" type inlet valves spaced within the reach of the 12 metre flexible hoses, and good quality robust tools. The cyclone is located external to the building with the vacuum blower nearby. The system energizes simply by opening any of the inlet points, which causes a signal to be sent to the switchboard and the vacuum blower.
Equipment selected The cyclone being of the "dry" type has internal filter "socks" suspended in the main chamber, and a 40 litre dust catchment bin simply clipped underneath with quick release catches. The vacuum blower is of the side channel gas ring reciprocating type,3 phase,415 volt. The switchboard is of JBW Technologies Australia design and construction. The cyclone is of JBW Technologies Australia design and manufacture
The Brief "Happy Valley Enterprises" owned by the Lamattina family of vegetable growers at Robinvale, is a very large carrot growing and processing establishment near Mildura in Victoria. The client contacted JBW Technologies Australia to discuss the collection and removal of up to 20,000 waste plastic strips per hour from the carrot production and bagging line in a new facility.
The InstallationThe above ceiling exhaust ducting is of metal galvanized material, with all pipework in food production areas in stainless steel. An external rolled steel cyclone collects all waste material via a flexible "skirt" clipped to a standard steel bin on castors. A high velocity fan draws the plastic strip from the bagging area to the cyclone where it falls naturally into the bin for later removal.
Equipment selected The cyclone, metal piping, high velocity fan, and electrical switchboard are all of JBW Technologies Australia selection. Supply and installation of this highly modern facility has now been in operation since January 2007.
